Hi MFPers! I am looking for some ideas on healthy great tasting lunches to bring to work! Currently I have some easy microwave choices of Cafe Steamers and such....I also make some spinach/laughing cow/turkey wraps....but I need some other ideas to quickly make like that....I am certain there are other things out there that taste great and are good for me that I am just not aware of :)

Thanks!!!

Throw in some fruit... add a package of already cut apple slices (30 cal) or cut up an orange and throw it in. Bananas are easy as well. I also have some string cheese with all of my fruit. Bananas keep you full for a long time. Any kind of berries are always good too. I am not the best person to ask. I eat the same thing everyday for lunch (sandwich, apples, orange, banana, yogurt, pickle and sometimes some string cheese). I still have tons of calories at the end of the day and on some days I have a hard time getting them all in, but I make sure I do!
    Good luck!

Pepsi - One, 12 fl can
Fresh Fruit - Golden Delicious Apple, 1 medium
Applegate Farms - Organic Roasted Turkey Breast (Lunchmeat), 2 oz.
Applegate Farms - Organic Provolone Cheese, 1 slice
Cucumber - With peel, raw, 0.38 cup slices
Red Onion - Raw, 1 slice
Aladdins' - 100% Whole Wheat Pocket Pita, 1 pita

This is my lunch a few days a week. It is a little high in sodium (over 700mg - thanks turkey and cheese!), but delicious and surprisingly filling for 301 calories! :]

I keep thinking of getting whole wheat bagels and putting soft cheese on it (or a slice of regular, whatever) and having fruit with that.

I always try to make extra when I make my evening meal. That way I can take left overs to work the next day. It saves me money and also saves the frustration of trying to decide what to have for lunch. When there aren't any left overs I have subway or Sumo Salad. I hope that helps.
