marinade / crock pot cooking question

I'm trying to be accurate in my food diary here and log everything. How do you account for the liquid used to marinate meat and cook in crock pot? I usually use broth or salad dressings and add spices. After the meat is cooked the liquid gets thrown away not consumed. Advice? Thanks!!

You will consume some of it, so log a small portion just to be somewhat accurate, maybe a few Tbsp's. I like to include this to ensure I don't go over.

maybe measure how much your putting in and they measure how much your throwing out? that would be the only way i could think of. i normally just guesstimate to tell ya the honest truth.

Hi Cat - I measure how much I put on then measure what I throw out. I try to use lean cuts of meat or w/ whole chicken strain off the 'grease' then measure the 'sauce' that's left.
