Places That Properly Fit For Shoes?

I have seen several threads here where people have mentioned getting properly fitted (not just length and width) for running or workout shoes, but have not seen what stores did this. I want to look for some shoes this weekend, but have no idea what shoe stores do such fittings. Can you recommend a place? Thanks

google "running shoe store" or something generic like that and see what is around you. That is a great way to start... look at the reviews of the places as well as the description...0

It will really depend on where you live; most of these sorts of stores are local, not big chains. I agree, do a search for running stores in your area. That should point you in the right direction.0

So places like Sports Authority, Finish Line, Champs, ect don't do proper fittings? Just checking- thanks0
