Alright. Fine. I want to eat organics. I have avoided them like crazy due to the prices, but I just can't avoid it any longer. But what about those prices?! A gallon of milk was nearly three times as much! The ground beef was $5.99 a pound when I'm used to paying $1.99. My grocery bill will skyrocket, which really sucks because we share this house with 4 other adults. I know they will eat my organics and not buy organics to replace it. Right now it's not in the cards to move, so I need affordable options. Also, which foods NEED to be organic and which ones don't matter as much?

Meat is crucial. I buy grass fed beef and free range chicken. I read a study which said the regular stuff is fattier band has less nutrients not to mention all the corn residue and other crap

Prevention magazine had an article that said fruits and veggies should be organic if you do not have to peel them before consuming. Bananas, oranges, grapefruits, and other fruits that you have to peel aren't as important to buy organically because the pesticides stay on the outside of the fruit and you remove that part. Grapes, apples, pears, tomatoes, and others that you do not peel first should be organic. So if you are trying to cut the cost of buying organic, buying only the most important fruits and veggies organically would be best.

go for the store brand. i work at whole foods market and i always buy their 365 organic food or whole foods organic. for fruit/veggies i buy the frozen kind. its much cheaper. i am vegan so i unfortuneately have to buy some more expensive stuff. but definitely stick with the store brand. esp if you like spaghetti. the noodles are 99 cents and the sauce is 2.69. so a very cheap meal.
