Me and my boyfriend/ father of my baby broke up in march after four years. I was single for a month and still going strong with my weight loss. I was only 7 lbs away from my goal!!! but then I met a new guy and I am having a hard time, I gained 5 lbs back. He wants to eat out all the time. If we are not eating out we are eating at his moms. His mom makes the most amazing food but is's stuff like fried chicken and country gravey. So i don't know what to do... It is so hrad for me to order a salad if he is ordering fries a double cheese burger.
I just counted my calories today and OOPS i thought i was doing good but i'm not. i am totally off track i need help!!

    Don't give up!

I have almost the same problem! My hubby wants to eat out and get big burgers and fries! It's so hard to stay on track when everyone around is eating fatty greasy foods, but eating out doesn't have to be the devil. My favorite thing to get when we go to Wendy's is the blt chicken salad, fresh grilled chicken with lite honey mustard, it still is a lot of calories, but I try to eat slowly, enjoying the flavors, and i get full faster. I don't eat the whole thing and save the rest for later. Drink water before your meals, you'll eat less as well.

As far as eating at mom's house, same here, carb loaded, high fat/calorie count. The thing I try to do is Portion Control. That way you're not being offensive! Also, ask if you could bring something for dinner. A salad for example or a healthy side. Then fill most of your plate with veggies, while still eating Mom's main course. She'll think you're a great help for volunteering to bring something.

    Good luck!

don't give up...just make better choices tonight, tomorrow, etc. Don't feel like you have to order a salad...BORING....order a veggie burger and only eat 1 part of the bun or eat a vegetarian item. Have you tried talking to your boyfriend about this? If he is a good guy he will understand and want to support you through your weight loss journey! Hang in there!

I have learned with my three children and hubby, that if i order something healthy, i can get my fat craving by sneaking a fry off their plate.....i feel better for eating a healthy meal and being strong, but still get that yummy in.

ok, I read your profile and you are already in a very healthy BMI range. You need to try to maintain your weight and keep exercising. If you totally give in you run the risk of really ending up in trouble, you are 22 and what you do now you will be glad for when you are 32.....trust me!

I know how you feel...whe I'm at work it's soooo easy I can stay on track and eat VERY healthy :flowerforyou: Once I get home I become a different person  !!!!! It's easy to point the finger at someone (like my husband) but I need to control myself. Lately what I've been doing is I have a snack before I go home then I'm not so hungry and he can't tempt me as easily :blushing: Good Luck!!!

Your living in the now moment, while the both of you are still new and having fun. You need to set your goals back up and start looking toward the future. It's so easy to get caught up in the moment and give up, but stick to your guns and tell yourself why you are doing what you are doing and why you are doing it. Stay strong and reconfigure your goals!

I gotta tell ya, it's 11:30pm and I am really struggeling right now. I could eat anything right now...resist!

I am so not down with eating a salad when someone else is scarfing down a burger. So what I do now is either order grilled chicken or grilled fish, if I have to have a burger I order a small one without cheese and mayo and I skip the fries or just steal a couple from someone else. I love places that give you a lot of choices. Especiallly with the side dishes.
I may eat only half my not so healthy entree but eat all my veggies or what not. I have the same dilemma with my own fiance he loves to eat -the more fattening the better- but he never gains much weight grr. As for his moms house try to portion yourself. Oh and as hard as it may be rip the skin off that fried chicken!!
