Hello all!!! Does anyone know on average how much a rotisserie chicken breast weighs?? No skin, no bone?? I have them weigh it at the grocery store when I buy it, but they can't weigh it without skin or bone and I am at work. This is a daily lunch item, so I'm always guesstimating. :/
Thank you!

While I dont know weight, a deck of cards (in reference to meat portions) is approximately 4 oz. This might at least help get you closer to your ability to add it to your food diary :)

The kind I have bought in the past weigh in the 4-5 ounce range (no skin or bones).

Although this doesn't help right now, next time buy 2 and take one home to weigh. Then you'll know for the future.

Every chicken is going to be a different size. The rotisserie chickens we get from our local grocery stores are small. But, the ones we get from Costco are huge. You should just try to weigh them at home when you pack your lunch. Or perhaps keep a small, inexpensive food scale at your desk at work if you are able. If you are going to take the time to log/track calories, you really need to take the time to weigh/measure the food.

The ones from Costco are about 7 ounces each so sounds like they vary alot.
Need a scale to make sure what you log is actually what you're eating.

If I had to take a wild guess at the weight though, without bones or skin, I would guess 7 - 9 ounces.

You could always take the skin and bone home, weigh it, then subtract that from what the original weight was.

Best bet is to buy a $5 food scale at Walmart, and weigh it before you eat it. Its a pain in the butt, but most effective

If this helps it was 1/2 lb (8 ounces) with skin, bone, wing, and box... The guy said it was probably .3 of a pound without all that stuff, but I wasn't sure if that sounded right.

Get a weight scale for food.

All the food scales I have found ate $20 and I haven't bought one for that reason.

If you really want to know the answer you need a scale, save up if you have to and invest in one, they are a great tool. For proper diary entry you need two things, a scale and measuring cups.
