Every walk I've done lately had lead up to mounting this hill! I've always wanted to walk this hill since we moved here (about 10 years) and have not even attempted it.
It's not that far from my house to the TOP of the hill but I'm carrying a lot of weight and this is a HUGE deal for me! I normally just walk to the corner of my street and walk back home but turning that corner and doing the uphill has been AWESOME!

First Day 3/7/2011

First day view from the bottom (and my puppies
)

Steepness. My friend Laci will vouch some of these pics don't do this hill justice! It's nuts.

2nd Trip Up - A little further 0.4 mi 3/10/2011 (RIGHT-CLICK on image to see full image)

Spot a little further than the first attempt...Looking towards my first goal (the speed sign...can't see it lol)

TO THE TOP! FIRST NSV---- 0.6 mi 3/11/2011

Almost to the top!

AT THE TOP!

They decided on the way down from the top they had enough and wanted a rest and roll in the cool shaded grass of someones yard. I'm having to coax my dogs through the walk because they are so tired!
Super proud of myself. BEYOND proud of myself. Instead of being scared of things that may be unknown to me or that scare me...................................................I say.......................BRING IT!
EDIT: Oh question 0.6miles one way and 0.6miles back is 1.2miles isn't it? I'm super bad at math and adding miles I thought is like adding money? There's nothing special about it..?

It def was a great feeling! I stood there for a good 3 mins and just stared at the sky and my dogs. I felt great! Dripping in sweat and felt awesome. Now I need a new goal! lol0 -
