Pre-Workout

I really like to try new things that give me a plethera of energy before a long run or an intense workout. Any suggestions on what you use or have tried?
I currently am drinking clicks is some sort of expresso protein. It works to an extent but nothing that wants to make me jump right of my bum right away.

I don't know if this has any true effect on performance, but when it's been more than about 1.5 - 2 hours since my last meal, I eat either a banana or a yogurt (the sugary kind), then wait about 15 minutes and start the workout. If anything it keeps the hunger pangs away during the workout itself, and I can't help but think the sugar is giving a little boost.0

There is very little sugar in the ones that I have tried thats the thing. I think I just enjoy the incredible caffiene kick. Well crap may go back to taking shots of straight expresso.0
