before my boyfriend got on the scale at the doctors office last month he was blaming me for shrinking his clothes by putting them in the dryer. he did not want to admit he was getting so large. i was wondering if there are other people out there that were or are doing the same thing?

My old excuse was that clothing companies were making sizes smaller than they used to. I never thought to blame the dryer back when I was making excuses and in denial.

But it is true that different companies make their sizes different. At least I'm pretty sure they do. Because last time I went to JC Penny, I could fit into a 10. But if I went to oh, say, Aeropostale, they wouldn't fit.

Oh yeah. My dryer shrinks everything. The fact that I don't fit my size 4's is because my dryer shrunk them, not because I got bigger.......right? ......right!?!

hahaha. Just kidding. My dryer shrinks things, but after a wear or two (I'm not gross, I do wash my clothes, but esp pants can go a couple wears before washing!), they seem to go back to the size they were meant to be.

Commenting again to ***** about differential clothing sizes. So I go to Nordstroms/Express. Size 8. Awesome! So excited about that. Ann Taylor Loft. Size 6. And I want to get super excited, but I know it's not real. Women's sizing should be standardized by law, or something, b/c I should not wear a 10 in one store and a 6 or 4 in another! It makes clothes shopping a roller coaster (Damn! 10! Yes! 8!...crap! 12! omg YES! 6! (and this was in 1 afternoon, after lunch!))
