tennis elbow

Ouch! My right elbow is warm and swollen. I think it's tennis elbow, which I've had before. I'm treating it with ice packs and ibuprofen, but I'm annoyed that I'm going to have to take a break fro a lot of strength/ weight exercises for a while. I guess zumba, spin, step, even circuits would be OK as an alternative. I really hate running.
Any suggestions or advice?

I just had mine operated on back in September (after everything else to treat it failed). When the surgeon got in there he ended up having to reconstruct my whole elbow...bone and tendons. Take good care of it and baby it! I know I messed mine up real bad from using it when it was flared up. All I know to tell you is to use the R.I.C.E. method...rest, ice, compression, and elevation. I would also keep taking ibuprofen. There are also stretches you can do to help. Google "tennis elbow" and you should be able to find illustrations of how to do them. I hope you feel better soon!0
