I am almost finished with phase 2 of P90X. I was thinking of picking up Insanity once I finish phase 3. My main focus is lose weight (I am down 20-25 lbs since starting P90X) And I know Insanity is more cardio then anything. Anybody here do both? Which did you like better?

They are very advanced and I don't do either right now, though I am a coach for beachbody. A lot of people actually will do both at the same time- you can probably find a schedule on beachbody.com.
I don't think that one is better than the other, it depends on what you like. Insanity is very hard- and Shaun T is coming out with a new work out called the Asylum which I can't imagine. I did Insanity Live with him in NYC right before it came out and WOW! it is insane!
P90 and Insanity are by 2 different trainers- and Insanity is shorter but I hear more intense.

Thanks for the help. I decided to finish this round of P90x. Followed by 1 more round after that. Then 2 months of Insanity (1 round) I should finish up exactly the same day I leave to start back to school. =) Should also hit my goal weight by then. Talk about perfect timing! =)

Would you mind telling me what your starting weight was and what your weight is now???

    Height would be nice also.

I am just curious I have P90X just sitting around and I'm thinking about using it in about 2 weeks.

Also how much of a defecit were you eating at??

    Thanks

I am 6'1. My starting weight I am not very sure on. Somewhere between 280-300. When I first started I used a old dial scale. It said I weighted 280. But it started to jump around a lot. so about 2 weeks into the program I went and bought a digital scale. (My old scale had me at 266 at this point) I started at around 283 on that. And my last weight in (sunday morning) I was down to 269. So I'd say I lost around 20-25 lbs.

    According to this site. http://www.healthcentral.com/cholesterol/home-body-fat-test-2774-143.html

My body fat was around 30% and now it's down to 26%. Of course this is a ballpark. I def noticed clothes fitting better! This pair of pants I couldn't even get close to fitting when I started, now fit just fine.

And course my stamina and everything is way up! At the start I couldn't even finish Cardio X. Now I can not only finish, I can keep up with them the entire dvd, It's a great program! So glad I bought it. I was always skeptical with these home workout DVD's. And I hate the gym. So I gained a ton of weight when I moved to PA, finally decided to try it! Best thing I could have done.

Oh. I am not really keeping track of my food intake or anything anymore. Today was the first time in a long time I even used it. I just eat healthy for the most part. I still enjoy my pizza and other junk food. I just cut that back by a lot. I also take about .5 scoop of Whey Protein before my workout. And then .5 after. Along with 2 scoops of P90X Recovery drink after a workout.
