Sit and chill for a bit then find your pulse....count the beats for one minute

best time to take your RHR is when you first wake before you get out of bed

best time to do it is first thing in the morning before you even get out of bed.... find your pulse and count it for full minute with a second hand on a watch/clock. I say one full minute because some people have an irregular rhythm.

Make sure you don't do it when you are awakened unnaturally. IE: No alarm or bad dreams. Those things will raise the heart rate and give you an inaccurate RHR.
