I know many of you have Polar Heart Rate Monitors, and after having a Timex Personal Trainer HRM that seemed to wildly overestimate the calorie burn for my workout, I decided to return it. I am interested in Polars, but want to know your opinions/tips on the difference between FT4F and FT7F. I am looking for accurate calorie burn estimates, and other than that I don't need that many features (I might in the future-- which features do you find important now that you have used one?).

I bought the FT4 because its the least expensive one i found that shows calories burned. i didnt care about being able to transmit my info to their site or anything so i didn't go for the more spendy versions. i absolutely love my FT4 and the calories reads are pretty accurate...but as all things with calories burned it is just an estimation but for me seems to be the best one so far
