do I need to hit my calorie goal
And if I'm under is that a bad thing

    It depends on what your calorie goal is, but you do not want to go under 1200 calories. If you consume less than 1200 calories, you can experience malnutrition and your body could enter starvation mode which will keep the weight on. So, if your calorie goal is 1200, then you don't want to go under that. But, if your calorie goal is 1500, you can go under that by 300 calorie. Hope this helps.

    Not if you don't do it consistently and/or by far. Also depends on how much of a deficit you have built it. If you set it for a 1 to 1.5 pound weight loss no big deal. If you have it set at two pound weight loss then you are already running at a 1,000 calorie deficit and you should try not to go under to much.

    I know I personally never go under...I usually go over slightly everyday and still lose weight consistently.

    As your male i don't think you should go under 1500 + plus eat back exercise calories
