New to this site, yes. New to weight loss. Not so much. But I have high hopes this time because of all of the help I've gotten from the site and the phone app. I would appreciate any help or suggestions for the start of this great journey. Good luck to all of you :)

The best advice is to follow what MFP gives you for your goals, workout and dont give up!! Were all here to help and support and motivate.. we all have bad days dont let that get in your way..

I love MFP!! Get some friends on here who can support you and give feedback to your food choices and exercise. :) Have fun!!
  • I am so happy to have found MFP, both online and the phone app. My problem was my coffee creamer....never realized how many calories I was using.....I have now changed to sugar free and measure. GL on your life health journey!

Remember that this is a journey, keep heading in the right direction, don't be too hard on yourself when you make a bad choice or need a small break.

Hi! Use MFP as a tool to make better choices. It really opens your eyes to what you are eating. Don't beat yourself up if you slip because it happens to everyone. You just brush it off and keep looking forward. I have struggled my whole life with weight and the one thing that finally hit me is I need to make small realistic goals instead of going for the 100 pounds right off the bat because as soon as I lost 5 pounds I wouldn't feel good because I had another 95 pounds to go. When I started making 10 pound goals it changed my thinking and before I knew it I had lost 50 pounds. You can do this and when you start feeling more healthy there is nothing better.
