what about adding some berries into a smoothie
or blending up some fruit to add to oatmeal . . . .
I don't know how much you dislike the taste, but since you can drink OJ maybe it would be better to liquefy those fruits?0 -
really ..no fruit ... grapes, peaches, blueberries , strawberries , bananas, oranges, mangos , pineapple ... nothing ???
I guess if you really don`t like fruit then you have to try and get your nutrients elsewhere0 -
I think it’s important to eat plants, whether that plant is classified as a “fruit” or a “vegetable” doesn’t really matter. Some nutrients are easier to get in fruit (such as vitamin C). But you can definitely get it through vegetables. Here’s a link that breaks down nutrients and lists fruits, vegetables, and proteins that are good sources of that nutrient: http://www.healthalternatives2000.com/vitamins-nutrition-chart.html. But the general rule is, eat the rainbow. If your diet is filled with many colored vegetables, you are probably getting all the low calorie, high fiber, nutrients you need, even without fruit.0

I make my fruit into a sorbet
1 cup frozen strawberries unsweetened
2 packets of splenda diluted into a tablespoon of water (combine and microwave for 15 seconds)
you will need a food processor or a manual foor processor, I use the manual one since it's easier to control the consistency
add 1/2 frozen berries or any other type of frozen fruit to processor chop til it's broken down a little,
add the splenda/water mix
add the rest of the strawberries or other fruit
Chop til it's a consistency you like
You can add frozen bananas to the mix to make it seem creamier almost like ice cream, it's very good and changes up the monotony of eating plain fruit.
My wife is a pampered chef consultant and she just took their recipe and altered it to fit our lifestyle now
Also on another note, you could make applesauce out of whole apples as well in a food processor, that might make it easier.0 -
Do you like such "vegetables" as tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, bell peppers, green beans, sugar snap peas, etc? Technically they're all fruits too, and as a group there's not much that differentiates them nutritionally from sweet fruits other than sugar content.0

I'm not a big fruit person either. I do like cantaloupe though.
Blending berries into a smoothie is a good option for me.0 -
Sometimes with our taste buds we have to retrain them. You may just have to eat somethings that you don't think are good at the time, and then your body will get used to them. There are plenty of good fruits and you need them for vitamins and antioxidants. so you might try something you thing you can tolerate. Berries are the best for diet.0

Just make sure you eat a wide enough variety to cover your nutritional bases, which shouldn't be difficult. Both broccoli and bell peppers, for example, contain substantially more vitamin C per gram than oranges.0
