cabbage soup! is filling nd so good

3 cups nonfat chicken broth(i did use the 33% less sodium one)
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon tomato paste
2 cups chopped cabbage
1/2 yellow onion
1/2 cup chopped carrot
1/2 cup green beans
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon oregano
pepper
Directions:
Prep Time: 7 mins
Total Time: 32 mins
1 Spray pot with non stick cooking spray saute onions carrots and garlic for 5 minutes.
2 Add broth, Tomato paste, cabbage, green beans, basil, oregano and Pepper to taste.
3 Simmer for a about 5-10 minutes until all vegetables are tender simmer for another 5 or so minutes.
4 I have tried different variations. Leaving out green beans. Adding chopped green onions in addition to the yellow onion.
5 All very good. You can customise it a bit.
whole soup only has 228 cals..43 carbs..1gram of fat..and 14 grams of protein.
i had 2.5 cups and im soo full

your welcome!! it honestly the best soup ive ever had. i was honestly surprised how good and filling it was. i bet you could add some celery and take out green beans or carrots sense celery is a neg. cal food same with cabbage.0

I make this all the time it's a great recipe and very filling, I sub the chicken broth with beef broth, I find it gives it a better flavor, you should give it a try :happy:0

yes i read that on a weight watchers site also about the beef broth. ill try it sometime. =]
