How much should I be trying to lose?

I'm 160lbs and 5ft9, I'm 20 years old (BMI 23.6). I was aiming to lose 1 pound a week, but is that maybe too much for the home stretch, should I maybe be going for half a pound a week so that when I go on maintenence it's not too much of a bodyshock?
Also, I've hit a Biiiiig plateau (like the one in the lost world kind of big), it's been weeks since i've lost anything, but i've put on muscle, but I really want to shift those last 10 pounds, would increasing calories so i'm only to lose half a pound a week help?

Absolutely!!! I've had to adjust mine when I'd lose only ounces or nothing for a couple weeks. It definitely fixes the problem...for me anyway. I have about 15-20 lbs left to lose and I'm at 1/2 lb a week.0
