my wife and i recently signed up for e mealz. and, for roughly $8 a month, this website will make your grocery list for you and put together all of your dinners for you. we signed up for the healthiest option, which was low-fat. we even pushed it further. instead of using lean ground beef, we used lean ground turkey. or we'd use 2% milk, wheat bread, low sodium this & that and etc... but still the average calorie count for the main course in each meal was about 400 calories. after adding veggies as a side dish for most of the meals, we were eating a 500 to 600 calorie meal. this was pushing our calorie counts way up.
i love breakfast foods. that's my kryptonite. not sweets, or sodas or etc... my grandfather was a heavy smoker, and got a cookbook from marlboro. he gave it to me. in it contains one of my all-time favorite recipes: cookhouse eggs. it's basically bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, & cheese. i entered it into the recipe calculator on this site, and (drum roll please).......... it's about 300 calories. anyway, i was curious to know if anybody else had tried e mealz or some other recipe site. what are your thoughts?
