Midnight cravings

I keep getting really hungry late at night if i'm still awake. Usually starts at around 11.30pm.

Does this happen to anybody else?

I normally eat tea around 7pm so not too much of a gap to cause it.

Haven't been giving into to the hunger so far (yay!) but any tips?

Thanks :)

I sometimes eat when I'm bored and it usually happens late at night. I try to drink some water and maybe have a banana. I'm not sure if that's the right thing to do, but that's how I handle it.

yogurt, I find it curbs the cravings. plus easy to digest for bedtime. Also, herbal teas are good.

The general rule of thumb is to eat a meal every four hours, a snack every two.

If your last meal is at 7:00, then naturally you will be hungry at 11:00.

Either go to bed earlier, or save about 100 to 200 calories for a late night snack.

Well, I'm not sure how you should handle those cravings, but I get them too. I try to make sure I don't use up my entire calorie goal during the day, so that I have some cushion to work those little snacks in. I've heard that if you eat something high in protien like peanut butter or some almonds before bed, it will help you stay full longer. I'm sure eating that banana is way better than craving a brownie or something at midnight!

    Thank you!

Sounds silly but I hadn't even considered saving calories for it...i've been in the mindset that once i've had my evening meal I'm done with my calories for the day.

    Definitely trying that one tomorrow.

    Craving a banana now!!! hahaha
