Hi; just curious about starting P90X. I'm about to begin, but am wondering what I've gotten myself into! LOL!

WILL I NEED TO DO P90X ALL THE TIME TO MAINTAIN IT'S RESULTS, OR IS IT SOMETHING YOU DO ONCE/TWICE PER YEAR?

The best way to answer that is to say do you what you feel best. For a lot of people P90X becomes a way of life and they do many rounds of it. Others use P90X as a starting point and move onto other programs. Fitness becomes a way of life thanks to P90X. The later is the care for me. Fitness became a way of life for me.

I also had thought about taking the challenge but I'm taking Celebrity Fitness @ a gym and we do an hour of the same moves..it's $3 a session so I may take the challenge with you if you decide to..let me know..

Well it all depends what you are looking for. Some ppl use P90X as a spring board to their new fit lifestyle. Others use it to achieve specific fitness goal then may use a couple of the workouts throughout the year by incorporating them into their normal routine. It's all up to you.

I'm currently on 11th week of P90x Lean routine. Once completed, I will be doing Chalean Extreme/Insanity, then I will return to P90X. To me those programs are like my personal trainer but cheaper.

I agree with FitPhysique. P90X is like a personal trainer for my wife and I. We're on day 58 of P90X Classic and once we are done we will do a round of Insanity; while mixing in P90X, P90X plus, and turbo fire workouts. After that hopefully P90X MC2 will be out and we will do that to keep things fresh.

So to finally answer your question. I think for us it is a forever thing. Once my wife and I are at our goal weights we can then get to a place were we can pick and choose what P90X workouts we want to do each week instead of following a specific program (like lean or classic).

So after you finish your first round you may want to do another. But if you think you might start getting bored, do turbo fire, insanity, jillian michael's etc.. Then, after you finish something else come back and do P90X again (that's what we did).

    Good luck!!!

My husband and I are in our fourth round of P90X. This program has been a springboard for other fitness challenges. "What else can my body do?" We have done Insanity and recently did our first 5K. The plyometrics in both the P90X and Insanity program have greatly improved my cardio endurance. Doing P90X does not prevent you from doing other things. Also, yesterday i printed out the shoulder and arm workout, snuck off to the gym and did the routine at the gym.

    P LIFETIME X for me.

You've touched on another question I've thought of. I recently took up running and was really hoping I could keep it up. After reading the info on P90X, I was begining to get afraid that I'd be WAAAY to sore! Not true?

Also, I am currently a member of Curves. Can I do both P90X & Curves at the same time????? (Wondering about recovery, etc.) I go as hard as I can when I'm there, not of this yackety-yack stuff.
