Why so much pain?

I have been doing Turbo Fire for 2 months and it is a really high intensity interval training 6 to 7 days a week. So why is it that I went and walked 4 miles around my local park yesterday and today I feel like I got hit by a truck. Did I over do it? I thought since I am doing do much cardio I could certainly do a 4 mile walk in 1 hour. All my muscles hurt in my lower back thighs and etc... all from walking.

different activities and intensities use different muscle groups. Were there any hills in your walk - they always kill me? Don't forget - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.0

Outdoor walking/running is a whole different animal from indoor cardio. I've learned this from my 5K training. I can train on my treadmill and feel great, then train outside and feel HORRIBLE. It uses a whole different set of muscles. Takes some getting used to, but just stick with it. And be sure to give yourself a day or two each week just to rest. Your body needs some rest every now and then.0

Just 1 small one but I walk up more hills than that walking go get my kids from school.0

Wow that is an eye opener. I guess these are muscles I need to work more often so I will incorporate more walking into my routine. I started taking 1 day to rest so thanks for the concern and your help guys.0

4 miles in an hour is pretty fast for a walk. I usually do 3 in an hour and that is enough to cause some pain even if I have worked out steadily...
I know I don't get any kind of calf benefit from TurboFire, and that is what kills me after a walk.
Jumping around vs walking, totally different muscles, but both great!0 -
Yeah it was actually 4 miles in 62 minutes lol but it was a power walk and I felt good when I was doing it but man am I sorry today.0

You shouldn't feel pain, but if it's soreness and tightness in your limbs that comes along with working yourself and pushing those muscles you may have not known existed! intense cardio is a killer if you switch it up and try different activities, but being sore is only a sign youre doing your body good!0

That is so funny, I just had a similar experience! You would be surprised at the nuances in muscle groups. The good news is, a week later I did the same jog (in my case) and experienced no soreness.0

Conditioning often doesn't transfer across different acitivities.
I breeze though double spin (2 classes back to back) and now easily squat 100lb... but when my friend took me hill walking for a couple of hours I could barely move the next day. It's good to mix things up a bit.
Keeps the body surprised.0
