well you don't burn a g of fat for every 9 calories you burn, those 9 would be made up of different things. However.. when you're looking at a food label, a gram of fat accounts for 9 calories for a serving. If there's 10g, there's 90 fat cals.

Thanks. I thought it sounded a little off, but that's what someone else told me, so I was making sure.
