Exercising late in the evening

Hi everyone  I usually do most of my exercise after 8.30pm and i usually eat back most of my exercise calories, but i just wondered if it is still a good idea to do this after 9pm at night? Or should i eat more during the day knowing that i am going to be exercising? I've hit a bit of a plateau and just wondered whether this might be my problem. I've just decreased my daily calories down from 1350 to 1200 to try and get over it.

Also, can lack of sleep affect weight loss? My son is teething at the moment and i'm probably only getting aroud 5-6 hours sleep a night on average.

Any ideas or hints would be much appreciated.
Many thanks:happy:

Good questions! I'm also exercising late at night (life with little kids huh?!) and only getting about 5 hours of sleep a night. Can't wait to hear responses.

Yes, lack of sleep can hinder weight loss, muscle growth, digestion and mood.

Your body can adjust to different amounts of sleep, but that may not be beneficial. Personally, I rarely ever get more than 5 hours a night. Maybe genetics, I don't know. My dad only sleeps about 4 hours a night. I have a worthless sister that sleeps 12 to 15 hours a day but it shows.....
