I'm trying to track my iron, because I've been chronically low for years. (Keep getting deferred at blood donor clinic, so I know it isn't getting better). My doctor had me taking a liquid supplement for months, but it tastes like rusty pipes.
Any ideas on how to boost my iron on a daily basis? I've already found that black beans and rice is high, but would welcome any other suggestions.
Thanx!

Multigrain cheerios are 100% complete in iron in 1 serving. I too am really low in that area.0

Oatmeal is very high in iron, along with spinach too of course. I log my iron as well, as I'm a little bit low. MFP really makes you realize what you're ingesting!0

I found this...I don't know if it will help or not, but it does list some foods.
I take a iron pill everyday too.0 -
Any leafy green veg, the darker the better.
Also, taking vitamin C at the same time helps your body to actually absorb the iron, so have a small glass of fruit juice with the same meal.0
