Hello,

I'm new to this site. I recently joined because I felt it was time to become healthy. I'm 5'2 and 210lbs... so not good on a frame such as mine. Although I have to say I do carry it well, in my chest... :)I've been good about maintaining my weight for the past two years, but its not a healthy weight for me. I use to weigh 180 but I gained 30 lbs after going on birthcontrol (im not the only one am I????). That was two years ago. About 6 years ago I moved from New Mexico to Georgia, I went from 140 to 180... for unknown reasons, stress maybe?? who knows!? As of right now I am 210 lbs. I want to be 150lbs.

Anyways a little bit about me... I'm 20 and my job requires me to be on my feet constantly for 12hr shifts. My food weakness on the way home, I end up picking up fastfood, instead of cooking a home meal like i should. Once a month, (and I think every girl can agree) I get chocolate cravings. I buy some sort of chocolate... say im just going to eat one serving... end up eat the whole thing (whether it be a whole box of girl scout cookies or a whole thing of ice cream)... so i seriously have to work on that. Those are the two things I have to fix!!! I eat relatively healthy.. its just in those moments of weakness that i end up over eating.

my goals
1. lose 60lbs (goal weight 150lbs)
2. excerise more so that i can better meet my job requirements.


Im looking for support with this issue of weight that I'm having. I like who I am but my body is just not as healthy as it needs to be in order for me to succeed in what I do. So 60lbs must come off!!! it will!!

  • so.. i have some of your same issues... i was on bc for 8 years i stopped 3 years ago... but during those 8 years i gained 10lbs every year.. so your not alone on that... as for fast food... if i do end up going i get something off the dollar menu.. and just limit myself to that 1 thing... yes they still do have a whole lot of cals but its soooo much better than a meal... i've gotten used to eating small portions but at least 5 mini meals a day... now the chocolate cravings... i live off of "sweet riot" dark chocolate covered cocoa nibs... they are a little pricey, but for me a handful satisfies my choc craving and each little nib is 1-2 calories... check them out... =)

    For my chocolate cravings I go for Chocolate Cherrios. They are so yummy..Or I grab a Fiber Plus bar ..chocolatey peanut butter...they are pretty awesome too.
