Have you all seen this website?? Is it to be trusted?? Do you have any other suggestions for figuring out how many calories I burn doing certain activities at my weight?

Or is there something on this website that can help me figure out my calories lost?
This morning I did Zumba on my wii and I did about 25-35 minutes (including warmup/cooldown) of the beginner setting. Anyone know how many calories I would have burned doing this?0 -
You need to get a heart rate monitor with a chest strap. Everyone burns calories differently. Good Luck :flowerforyou:0

She's right - and spend the $100+ to get a good one. I bought cheaper ones at first, and with the amount of money I spent on them, I could have bought a good one. The Polar FT7 and F11 are both good for around $100. But your Wii should have told you how many calroies you burnt. It's in the programming part of it.0 -
Yep and HRM will tell you exactly what you are burning. It will vary from person to person based on height/weight and fitness level.0

ok, so since i don't have one, what would you suggest using? the dancing/aerobic selection in the database??0

For now that is probably best, but this site is notorious for estimating calorie burn to high. Like this morning I did 15 minutes on the elliptical trainer, the site said 325 calories burned, but my HRM said 200. That is a big difference, so I would cut whatever this site gives you nearly in half. A HRM would be a good future investment though.0
