Have you all seen this website?? Is it to be trusted?? Do you have any other suggestions for figuring out how many calories I burn doing certain activities at my weight?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Or is there something on this website that can help me figure out my calories lost?

This morning I did Zumba on my wii and I did about 25-35 minutes (including warmup/cooldown) of the beginner setting. Anyone know how many calories I would have burned doing this?

You need to get a heart rate monitor with a chest strap. Everyone burns calories differently. Good Luck :flowerforyou:

She's right - and spend the $100+ to get a good one. I bought cheaper ones at first, and with the amount of money I spent on them, I could have bought a good one. The Polar FT7 and F11 are both good for around $100. But your Wii should have told you how many calroies you burnt. It's in the programming part of it.

Yep and HRM will tell you exactly what you are burning. It will vary from person to person based on height/weight and fitness level.

For now that is probably best, but this site is notorious for estimating calorie burn to high. Like this morning I did 15 minutes on the elliptical trainer, the site said 325 calories burned, but my HRM said 200. That is a big difference, so I would cut whatever this site gives you nearly in half. A HRM would be a good future investment though.
