So I quit drinking diet coke last Monday, it's been a week now and I've had a couple headaches, but not too bad. I also enjoy some good coffee (black) but haven't had any of it either, so I went reading on here to find out if caffeine is bad for you.

From what I've read there are a lot of people on here that say coffee's bad drink green tea or black tea instead....why?

So can anyone post some links to real studies about if caffeine is bad or good, it seems most of the stuff I'm finding say it's good for you (in moderation of course)

Ok, I'm gonna go pour myself a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee while I wait.

Caffeine is bad for some people. Personally, my doctor has told me to start drinking something caffeinated as soon as I get a headache because caffeine helps migraines. In fact, the main ingredient in most OTC migraine pills is caffeine. My dad has Parkinsons's and his specialist also encourages him to drink coffee because caffeine helps to calm the tremors for those in that situation.

So keep in mind that just because one person was told caffeine is bad for them, does not necessarily mean it's bad for you.
