Curbing Stress Eating

I stress eat and when I do I usually go for my husband's chips.

Does anyone have any tips on not breaking your diet with stress eating? Raw veggies just don't seem to cut the stress eating cravings...

    I usually pull out every trick in the book: raw veggies, drink water, exercise, go for a walk, distract yourself, wait 10 minutes to see if the craving passes, chew gum, suck on hard candy, even look up how many calories whatever I crave is so that maybe it will deter me...you name it. Most of the time one or a combination of things works...however...some days of the month none of these things help and the beast will not go away until it gets what it wants! I try not to over do it and compensate with exercise, but sometimes things just get out of hand (as in last weeknd and several donuts...it was a massacre:frown: .
