Workout during illness?

So, I am working from home because I am fighting a bad cold (day 5) and feel the need to jump on the elliptical. But with all this hacking and coughing, thought I should google "exercise during illness". I feel like I am sabbotaging my progress, but all info points to DO NOT work out if your symptoms are below the neck. Sneezing and headaches, ok. Coughs and chest congestion not ok. UGH! Any thoughts?

Do what feels good. Some light exercise would be beneficial. I always find that it really helps me feel better and recover faster.0
