Big Small successes

In the last week I:

* Lost 2.6 lbs
* Ate an actual breakfast every day.
* Went from 13 cigarettes a day to 10.
* Did some form of cardio exercise every day (at least 20 minutes).
* Went from a "huff and puff" 0.8 mile walk in 20 minutes to a "I can still talk understandably" 1.0 mile walk in 15 minutes.
* Only went over my Net calorie goal once.

What are your recent Big Small successes?

    I managed to get back running again and have been keeping within my calories. I ran 5K in 31minutes today. Given two weeks ago I had a problem which had kept me from running for six months, I was very happy.

    My main reason to answer this is to congratulate you on the cigarettes cut down. I have recently quit (it's been 36 days! Yay me!) and I would advise an app you can have on your screen. It's from the UK's National Health Service but it will work and it's sooo encouraging! Go to:

    I don't think you can download it on your phone, but I believe you can use the laptop version.

    bought a shirt in January without trying it on,when I got it home the arms were WAY too tight,so I haven't worn it since. Guess what shirt Im wearing today with room to spare in the sleeves ?! :)

    Yeah, Saturday 3/19 is my quit day! So I'm working on cutting back before that. :happy:

    Running the longest I ever have without having to take a walk break. Ok, it was only 15 minutes, but hey, that was HUGE for me!!!:smile:

    I can't wait until I can post that I RAN for 15 minutes instead of walking. LOL.

  • * I started track & field 2 weeks ago, and since then I run every schoolday atleast 4 miles :)
    * Havent been over my calorie goal last week AND today :)
    * Drink my fist 8 cups of water today!! Yeah thats a hard one, I normaly or forget about it LOL
    *... cant think of anything else..

    I feel great! Havent weigh myself yet though, so no idea how much I lost (if i lost LOL). The scale at my house doesn't work.. I wish it was because I think it gives 10 pounds less then I nomally weigh :P so the next time I can weigh myself will be next tuesday, thats in 8 days. Lets hope for the best :)

    im going for dinner tomorrow though, so wish me good luck! :) Im gonna try my best not to eat too much

    Go You! on the water... that's a tough one to get in the habit.

    Today was my first day back after being "under the wagon" for a while. I am so hooked on diet mountain dews so I decided I was going to try to cut back to one can a day. I am so happy because today I ended up only drinking about a half a can instead!! So fingers crossed that tomorrow and the days to come will be just as good....one day at a time. Great job to all of you on your successes!!! :flowerforyou:
