Differences this Time Around

I'm a girl.....so what does that mean.....means I have "gone on diets" and convinced myself that I was going to loose weight a million times.
Remember the No-Carb Diet? Seriously, who was I kidding that I was never going to eat a piece of bread ever again....I love bread.
I think the difference this time is that I am don't have a specific goal event. In the past I wanted to loose weight for a vacation or for my wedding. Well guess what I did. Then after it was over, there was no motivation to keep going and I gained every lb back (and then some).
As part of my work health program I meet with a doctor who acts as a personal coach once a month. I remember the first meeting we had and he asked me if there was an event or something that I wanted to use as motivation. He looked at me very odd when I told him no, I just wanted to loose weight.
Now that I think about it, I think this might be the secret for me to actually succeeding this time. Instead of having a drop dead date that I want to loose the weight by, I have a weight loss goal of 100lbs in one year and then keeping my body at a healthy BMI. The nice thing about that is that I will never hit the end of my motivation.
