Does it matter if you eat 1200 calories one day and 2400 caloried the next if you work out? i mean like yesterday i ate 1200 calories so i did good and i excercised and today i ate alot but i still excercised really hard and i breastfeed. so is it bad for my weight loss cause i think i probably burn close to 300 to 700 calories a day depending on how hard i excercise. and then no tellin how much i burn when im not doin nothing cause if my metabolism. so will i still loose weight?

I think if you are that unsure and you are breastfeeding, you should get some quality advice, perhaps from your doctor.

Here's a link to your own post where someone has replied as to how much breastfeeding is likely to burn:

Since you put your baby at risk by making a bad decision based on someones advice over the internet whom you have never met and since you don't seem to be clear on what you need to be doing about nutrition while breastfeeding, I Highly recommend you speak with a proffessional.

(No disparagement to you many knowledgeable folks, but how is one to know when it's brilliant advice or BS when it comes over the internet?)

Yep! I know nothing about breastfeeding, razbo. I thought if it was written down it's true

Ok - natashav - I'm kidding, sweetie - the internet chat and message boards are definitely not the place to get that kind of info. You may be able to find an answer on MebMD or the Mayo Clinic websites, but I think you should see a doctor, too.

  • If you notice, when you log in how much exercise you do, it gives you the calories you burned to eat. As long as you aren't going over that amount and it is healthy food, I believe it is ok or Fitness Pal wouldn't give you those extra calories to eat.

I try not to go over my calories per day even if I do exercise, because sometimes it makes me have more of an appetite the next day.

    Just a thought... good luck!
