Hi! Well here I am. I found this site from a friend of mine and it seems all inclusive for what I'm looking for. I need to lose about 25 lbs and I"m really struggling. I'm 46 (soon to be 47) and I had two major surgeries about 2 yrs ago that resulted in a full hysterectomy. Needless to say this has taken a physical and worse yet an emotional\mental toll on me. I need all the support I can get.

Welcome to MFP! It's absolutely brilliant as long as you keep your diary updated and you're honest with your diary and yourself - if you stick to your calorie allowance you can't go wrong - I'm the same age as you and I've found it so hard to lose weight but with a combination of Diet Chef and MFP I'm finallyh getting there - the best thing I can say to you is as each pound comes off - don't be disappointed if it comes off slowly - in the past I've always been disappointed at only losing 'just a pound' and then I've given up and piled pounds on!
Stick with it - you'll get there!)

Ohhhh! and of course exercise plays a big part - even if you can't do anything major right now - gentle exercise is key! Good luck xxx0
