Hi everyone,

I'm new. I have been using a different 'app' for a few weeks but really wasn't happy with how much it was saying I should eat to reach my goal so when someone I know said they use this one I switched.

I am trying to get back to the size I was around 12 years ago and in much better shape so I exercise 3-4 times a week using a boot-camp style fitness company and am now watching what I eat.

Welcome to MFP! I love bootcamp style classes, although at the moment, I'm a little daunted to get back into them. Good luck getting back into shape - there is nothing like looking totally smokin' in a wetsuit!

Welcome, I am new too. Good job on getting the exercise down! It is amazing when you track your eating how much it helps.
I heard about the site from a friend too and really like the food calculator. I know you can do this!

    Hi Shannon and Ruby,

Thank you both for your warm welcome!

I'm finding that a good way to stop myself from 'grazing' throughout the day is to have changed my meal names to time slots, pre-enter what I will eat and drink during the day and then not let myself deviate from that. It helps me make sure I'm eating regularly as well as teaching me more about portions.

Shannon, the bootcamp I go to also does a walking version for those coming off injury or who want to start out slower and ease their way into it. I really like it and push myself waaaaay more than I ever would if it was just me on my own! Besides, can't fall too far back or I can't ogle the instructors buns ;-) I don't know about looking smokin in a wetsuit... is that physically possible? Right now I'd just settle for not having to struggle into my drysuit! LOL
