I decided to make a nice veggie stir fry and bought Kikomans Reduced sodium soy sauce for it. Well, I used 4 TABLESPOONS in the stir fry, and that was my TOTAL sodium allowence for the day!!! Now what am I going to do? Flush it out with excess water????

You can mix the soy sauce with a little bit of water in a stir fry, you wouldn't taste the difference, and it would be much less sodium! :-)

    Yup :drinker:
  • yeah, soy sauce and marinades have so much sodium that i decided not to use them anymore...i made stir fry last week and used some rice vinegar and squeezed some orange and lemon juice in it. i also cooked the chicken it a little sesame seed oil. it was pretty tasty and hardly any sodium. i just bought some powdered ginger and next time i am going to mix that with the vinegar. :)

Soy Sauce is a sodium killer!!! I buy the low sodium Stir fry sauce. It may be made by Kikkoman, too, but not sure. It is quite a bit lower in sodium.
