I wear my HRM all day and the other day it said I had burned over 6800 calories, this also included my workout where i burned 800 calories. What I want to know is am I really burning these calories? I know its not in the fat burning zone. Im just curious.

Unless you have BodyBugg or similar HRM, you're not supposed to wear it all day.
So...no, it's not accurate.0 -
No, HRM's are only meant to calculate caloric burn when you HR is elevated, so only accurate when doing cardio. The HR is only part of the equation that the HRM uses and if you are not working out only the constants and the HR would be correct everything else in the equation would be wrong, leading to a higher output than you actually burned.
If you want something you wear all day you would need a body bug, or body media not an HRM.0 -
