The limit mfp gave me is 300. I am pretty much done eating for the day and I am at 140. I think the value it gives is based on recommendations from maybe the American heart association or something.

The whole area of dietary Cholesterol is so murky that I don't even pay attention to it. The vast majority of the Cholesterol in your blood is produced by your liver, as far as I know. The amount of cholesterol your liver produces is effected more by ingesting too many calories than it is by specific dietary cholesterol. Then you run into the whole thing that all dietary cholesterol is not made the same. I have done some reading from reputable resources, although not very recently, but all of it just made me want to throw my hands up in the air in despare. My suggestion is try to eat healthy food veggies, grains, fruit, light dairy and lean meat. Make sure your calories are not high, and don't look at the cholesterol number unless you have a specific problem.
