I gave up all breads, white flour, potatoes, rice and lentils because of health reasons and I am having the hardest time reaching my calorie count for the day!! I am eating and I am not hungry but I am eating all veggies, fruit, and meats. The program says that my body is going to go into starvation mode if I do not pick up my calories. Is this true?? If so I need major help in figuring out what to eat that is more calories but if it means I will lose more weight fast than should I care as long as I am eating and I am not hungry?

If you are having health issues it might be a good idea to see a dietician. They can help you figure out what you should and shouldn't eat, my mom has a lot of health issues and I know the dietician helped her0 -
try adding in some nuts, avocados, foods with protein and high in good fats. They are higher calorie foods and will help you to not be under.0

I'd consult a nutritionist You'll probably get all the info you need from them0

The truth is you body will go into starvation mode, therefore slowing you metabolism storing up the fat.
You do not need to give up ALL the breads, rice, lentils, etc. Just make sure you eat them in moderation. I agree about cutting out any of the white flour breads and products. And possibly the potatoes.
You can find lower calorie healthier rice. There's a brand that makes a rice a roni kind of rice in which you can cook it WITHOUT adding the butter/margarine to... which cuts the calories from 270 to 120.
You may also need to snack in between meals.... get some healthy trail mix. Something good for you but can also add calories. I did the same thing and was waaaay under my calorie count during a couple of weeks and gained back 3 lbs. But I lost it again when I was sick with bronchitis last week.
It's ok to be 100 calories or under on you calories count but I would say no more than that per day.
I hope this helps.0 -
I have heard you need to atleast have 1200 calories a day for your body not to go into starvation mode. Maybe try eating some almonds or other healthy nuts and eat a healthy snack in between meals like the nuts or something else you like. I couldn't see your food diary to see what you are eating. I am no expert and I am learning as I go just like you, but now that I have let myself do it, I would maybe take the weekend and eat what you want, in moderation of course, and don't do any exercise other than normal day to day stuff, and trick your body into thinking your not doing the same thing anymore. I did that this past weekend from the advice of my trainer and I didn't go overboard (I did eat a little chocolate) I got different stuff to eat for the week, and starting Monday I got back into the routine and I feel good and I can already tell in just the past two days the difference it has made. Good luck to you!0
