How much sodium should you take in one day?

    I lowered mine from 2500mg (as suggested by MFP) to 1500mg. This requires me to eat more clean foods than processed.

    Yep me to...drpped mine down to 1500...but aim for under 1000....but im on HBP meds...and I want off em.

    interesting! where did you get this info because i read the health max is 2300...

    2,300 for average person MAX recommendation
    1,500 for people with sodium related troubles, such as high blood pressure, or people over the age of 51

    If you can keep it under 1,500 at all, that is awesome. Prepare more of your own foods and you will see the number shrink and shrink and shrink.... :happy:

    Mine is set at 2500, when I have less than that my blood pressure goes low. Might have something to do with pregnancy but have never had blood pressure problems before and this is child #4
