My husband is new to loosing weight and he started on this website with me about 2-3 weeks ago.
I don't have a job right now, I just stay at home.. so my calories are simple, I stay at 1200 on non exercise days or eat them back on days I do.. he's different however.
He has a job that makes him hands on alot so MFP allows him 2500 w/o exercise and still be able to loose 1 lb a week!
My question though... is should he eat less on days he DOESN'T go to work and if so how many less? He seems to loose weight most of the days he works and gain it back on the weekends.. or stay the same... I can tell it's fusterating him and I want to help...
So those of you that have jobs that burn alot of calories what do you do?

i'd try to fiddle with the activity level settings and just find out what his calorie needs for a weekend with a lower activity level would be, and aim for that on weekends.0

If he has noticed that the flucuation is a pattern, then he should probably curb the calories on the weekends, if he's not doing much activity.
After a little while, you and him will really be abe to see the patterns, and you'll be able to tweak what needs to happen during the week v. on the weekends. Good luck!0 -

I would set the activity level to whatever he is on the weekends. That way, he can log work as 'exercise' during the week and still know the calorie allowance over the weekend.0
