New to MFP & Weight Loss

I'm new to MFP and weight loss in general. Today I got on the scale and realized I hit over the 200 mark. The last time that happened I delivered a 10 lb baby. Unfortunately I don't have that weight loss system right now so I am going it on my own.

I could use tons of encouragement and accountability. I'm athletic and love the gym, its just getting there. I recently moved and now I am staying home with my two young children so I figure now is the time to just do it.

I eat a mostly organic diet and my usual meat is chicken (if any), my husband on the other hand is as southern as they come and 6'5 so doesn't show weight at all and comes from an upbringing where if it wasn't fried, soaked in butter, salted, or made with MaMa's Bacon Grease than it wasn't a meal. I think his habits have rubbed off on me not the fried or the bacon grease but just heavy southern meals in general.

I would appreciate any support or advice you could offer!
