Sugar.... GAH!

I don't think it's even possible for me to stay within my sugar range, but I'm really, really careful about the type of sugar I put into my diet... I eat a lot of fruit and am obsessed with juice. I LOVE JUICE. I can't help it. I never buy sweetened juice, I go for organic when I can find/afford it... Never from concentrate, and I always always ALWAYS read the labels to make sure there's nothing BUT fruit juice in there...

I mean, I'm sitting here eating a lemon right now. And I have no intention of logging it, because it's a freaking LEMON -- is nothing sacred!? I can't give up fruits and juices... I would end up with about 0 vitamins in my diet.

So... what do I do? Do I really have to cut back on something as natural as fruit?? Or should I just pretend it's not happening? I don't eat a lot of other carbs or sugars besides fruit & juice (except for a crippling pretzel/mustard addiction), but I at *least* double my allotted sugars (according to MFP's calculations) every day.

So frustrated!!!

i find i have this problem too. i don't ever drink juice, but i looooove fruits (especially apples) and i find i go way over my sugars nearly every day... shouldn't the website idenifty between ADDED and natural sugars??? or do i really have to give up my yummy fruit munchies? i've even been eating half-bananas lately so i won't feel "sugar-guilt". i try to limit the amounts of added sugars i get, as well.

i am under calories nearly every day. but i haaaate seeing those RED numbers. ugh.

I have no clue!! I do a banana with breakfast every single morning... I don't get much potassium otherwise... I'm a vitamin C junkie (hence eating a whole lemon), when I want a sweet snack at the end of the day it's always fruit... I just can't bring myself to believe that something so natural could be bad. :(

I don't get too worked up about natural sugars, as opposed to added sugars in processed foods, puddings, flavored yogurts, etc. I do not have a sweet tooth and don't eat many fruits, I am a vegetable kind of girl ;) I use one teaspoon of sugar a day in my coffee and other than that, I eat all unprocessed whole foods with no added sugars, with exception to the one teaspoonful of fruit jam in my plain yogurt I usually eat every day. I STILL end up over on sugar on many days. Heaven forbid I have a banana, the sugar number explodes!

As long as your sugars are coming from bananas, apples, oranges, etc. don't beat yourself up over it. I noticed the sugar problem as soon as I started logging on MFP and quickly learned via these message boards that everyone has the same problem!
