30 Day Shred L1D1

Well I'm happy to say I just completed my first day of the shred. I was not able to complete each set, had to take some breaks, but I did get thru the whole video. It's only been 10 minutes and I can feel my thighs stiffening already when I climbed the stairs. Is this normal to not be able to keep up with them? How in the world will I be able to exercise tomorrow if I'm feeling it already? I'm not going to give in, just looking for some advice.

Stick with it, it's worth the effort! I did the shred 30 times in 30 days and had some success with it. Some days I cried real tears like a baby, but I stuck with it. Just completing the thing motivated me in a way I could never have imagined. I went on to buy a 90 day program which I would never have done before because of a history of dropping fitness efforts.
There are more benefits to the shred than the scale and tape measure. You'll be amazed at the changes you feel!0 -
I found that after the video I needed to stretch a bit more. It helped lessen the aches and pains post-work out. So I stretched head to toe for another 10 minutes, then had a hot hot shower. You'll feel a LOT looser and be prepared for tomorrow's work out!0

I'm on my 12 day, the first few days I was SORE, but now I feel fine the next day. Think it takes a bit for the body to get used too.0

I've just completed L1D4 and although I found the push ups harder, once I'd got past that I enjoyed it and my thighs are much happier today (D1, 2 & 3 I had trouble descending stairs and sitting on the loo, they were hurting so much!). My arms are aching today, which hadn't happened until then...I think you just got to keep going with it, it does get easier on the soreness front!
I also find reading these forums inspiring and motivating, so when my muscles are screaming at me, I come on here and then I KNOW I can do it!0
