Id like to start doing some water exercises in order to break up the monotony a bit, but I'm not really sure how to start or what to do? Anybody have any info on this?

Water running in a depth up to just under your bust is a-mazing for cardio and strengthening your legs against the resistance of the water.

Here's a link to some exercises, many of which don't need equipment. Google "water exercises" for loads more, including YouTube videos.

    Good luck!
  • I took some Aquafitness classes a few years and they were amazing. One of them was "aqua tae-box" or something, basically using the water's resistance for strength training. We did kicks and punches as well as laps. We also did some push up things, using the edge of the pool to lift ourselves out of the water. If you decide to do laps, alternate between using only arms (if you can, put a pool noodle under your ankles so that they aren't just dragging) and only legs (use the pool noodle in your hands out in front of you). Have fun!
