So I used myfitnesspal 2 years ago and lost 30 pounds. I've gained it all back. :(
My goal now is to lose 50 pounds and keep it off. My daughter also has that plan, so we are working together.
But it's so hard the first week or two - I'm already tired of salad - and it's only day 3!
I'm the type that needs a lot of encouragement and positive affirmations.
Best of luck (and encouragement and rah-rah's) to all of you!

I rarely eat salads! There are plenty of healthy options without eating salads! It will be easier to stick to this if you learn to eat healthy foods that you enjoy! Good luck to you and your daughter!

Welcome back! Hope this journey is the beginning of the rest of your life. Like someone previously posted, I rarely eat salad. If I had to eat diet food for the rest of my life, I would not be able to stick to this. You need to find some healthy meals that you enjoy and don't mind eating on a regular and that way it would be a lifestyle change and not a diet. That is how I am approaching this....I have lost weight in the past, but it was always with some gimmick like low carbs or no fat......this time I am losing eating regular food that I normally eat with tweaks......ex. use turkey sausage and turkey ham for seasoning, use olive oil instead of canola- better for my heart, drink smoothies when I want something sweet, eat brown rice, quinoa, whole wheat bread....get rid of alot of processed foods and eating things that have a mother or comes from the ground. I made these great whole wheat berry muffins that were only 100 cal per muffin....things like that....things I know that I can live with for the rest of my life. Good luck on your journey.
