It depends on your weight and how hard you push it. Everyone is going to be a bit different. I just ball park mine.0

Around 350-500.0

Depends on your weight and other factors. You may want to get a heart monitor to track it better0

They estimate 600 calories in the nutrition guide. But, I only burn in the 400 range. My hubby burns upwards of 700. So, it really can vary depending on you! Get that heart rate monitor!0

It's going to depend on your body weight and heart rate. So depending on the video (eg, kick boxing vs. yoga vs. abs) you will burn different amounts. I would try to find something similar in the database (step aerobics, yoga, pilates?)0

The HR monitors are really only good for cardio. They aren't really designed for resistance work since Heart Rate really isn't a foctor there. Traditional resistance work that is not circuit training which is more cardio anyway.
The calories burned vary on so many factors. I just did Plyo X last night holding a 10 pound medicine ball for 75% of the moves and burned 794 calories. My max HR was 172 and ave. was 142. I'm male 6 foot, 42 yo and 188 pounds.0 -
IMO HRM are a waste of money. Just push yourself! Dig deep and bring all you got. Wearing a silly little watch isn't going to help you burn anymore calories if push yourself!0

I did a google search on this because I do the Ab Ripper X workout - but not the rest. The average I was seeing from people who were calculating from heart rate monitors was about 150 calories for the 15 minute workout. I think it's a little on the high side, but its usually what I enter for that particular one.0

Yea, it's going to be drastically different depending on how hard you push. I can burn anywhere from 300-650 during plyo depending on how hard I'm pushing and how much I modify.0

i would highly recommend a HRM I did P90X for 2 rounds before I got a HRM and I thought I was not burning as much as I really did... For me it is anywhere from 400-700 calroies depends on the viedo0

thanks guys. i kinda figured it would come down to the heart rate monitor. i ball parked it at around 400-500 personally so it doesnt sound like i was too far off.0

I have to agree with everyone here. You need the heart monitor to be accurate. We are all different (height, weight) so what you burn and how you burn (depending on which video you are on) will vary greatly. Keep at it though! It is intense, but the bust bang for the buck that i have ever gotten!0

You can ballpark it by assuming that you burn 10-12 calories a minute working out moderately- so 52 minutes would be between 520-624 calories. I have P90x and this is usually the method that I use because I am too stubborn to go buy a HRM.
Good luck!0 -
DEF get a HRM, I highly suggest a bodybugg is you have a little bit of money to spend. I used to use the system here on MFP but once I got my Bodybugg it I was actually burning half the calories as what MFP says I was.0

They are an awesome way to measure your performance improvement as your Max and Ave. HR should decline over time.0 -

The point of wearing them is not to burn more but rather to eat enough to fuel your body for the actual energy expenditure, without it you are flying blind and will not know if you are or below maintenance. If your goal is weight loss or even gain, it is a great tool to know how much you are actually burning.0 -

lol I guess. I think people put too much into tracking every little detail. Eat right, and always bring your best. You'll drop weight.0
