Hi- I just got my BodyMedia Fit and I plan to continue to enter all foods on MFP b/c I like this database way better. The thing I really want to know though is...

How do I see the amount of calories burned just during my workout on the bodymedia activity manager. I want to take that number and put in my own workouts on MFP and enter the amount of calories manually. Can anyone help? Thanks

If you have the display watch, just reset the "trip" at the beginning of your workout and use that to see how many calories you burned at the end.

If you don't have that, then once you've uploaded the data to your computer and you log onto the site to view the data, then on the graph of your calorie burn for the day, you can select a certain period of time. Select the time you were working out, and it shows the calorie burn for just the selected time.

(In case you don't know how to view the graph I mention - click the arrow that's to the left of the calories burned information on the activity manager. That will open up the graph (it drops down). To select the time period, grab & drag the box in the grey bar at the top of the graph (you'll do it on the left side to get to the start of your workout, and the right side to drag it to the end of your workout) - these are the boundaries of the time that has been selected.)

**This for the website - not sure how it would work on the phone app. **

I want to know the answer to this, as I'm going to get the Ki Fit (the UK version of Bodymedia Fit) at the end of the month

But invest in the display, it's SOOO much easier! I love mine to pieces, haven't gone more than half an hour without it on my arm in a month now.

I don't have the display, so when I plug it in you just have to go to Calories burned and then I move the shaded area over the time that I worked out. You should see the time at the top. Does that make sense? It should give you all that information. If you have questions, feel free to message me.

My only word of caution - in my experience, the display is not always accurate - I realize this makes no sense, since it gets its data from the device, which is uploaded to the computer... but I've had my display tell me I've met a goal, but then when I upload the device, the online activity manager shows that I didn't meet the goal. Very irritating... I tried contacting customer service, but they were really no help (they had me reset my device, which didn't help) and they didn't offer any explanation.

awww that wicked sucks...mine has never done that...:frown: I hope it doesn't.

I love being able to see the calories counting up. It reminds me to eat. Like if its busy at work and I'm busting butt and realize it says 1500 already and I've only eaten 600 that day, I can say
"so that's why I am crabby and tired and getting a headache! I'm starving!"
