There's one combo at a restaurant that I LOVE, that would be super easy to recreate at home:

    Baby spinach
    Boiled or grilled shrimp
    Sliced sundried tomatoes
    Parmesean cheese
    Few chopped walnuts
    Cherry tomatoes
    Artichoke hearts
    w/ Balsamic viniagrette

    It's delicious!

The salad I ate today was amazing! It has tons of spinach, broccoli slaw, shredded carrots, shredded red cabbage, scallions, crumbled goat cheese, sunflower seeds and olive oil/vinegar dressing. I ate a whole, whole lot of it, too! Mmmm.....

Chili's use to have a Hawaiian Grilled Chicken Salad that was AWESOME! I'd always order it without the tortilla strips and the dressing on the side. The best part was the combo of pineapple and pico de gallo! They've quit making it now... I think they have a carribean salad but it just isn't the same!

    Lettuce mix
Cubed butternut squash baked in chinese five spice powder
    Raisins
    Almond slices
    Chicken optional
    Goes best with a vinagrette

And I got it out of my husband's Men's Health magazine (they were giving healthy suggestions to impress a dinner date):flowerforyou:

    Either Spinach or Romain
Feta (must have. I love the stuff)
    Tomatoes
Olives (black or green what ever I have on hand)
    Pepperchini
    Onion

If the tomato is juice no dressing is needed just some different herbs/spices. Otherwise, I'll use an italian dressing or vinaigrette.

Just wanted to share this site: http://www.vinaigretterecipe.com. They have some tasty vinaigrettes if you are interested in making your own.

I have two favorite salads--one I make at home, and one from Subway. The one from home has lettuce (both iceburg & romaine), TONS of shredded carrots, onion, green/yellow/orange peppers, pickles (I really prefer a sweet mix pickle, but kosher dill is good too), honey roasted turkey breast, and a little shredded cheese--no dressings. Sometimes I switch the turkey with ham or homemade tuna salad.
My favorite salad from Subway includes lettuce, onions, green peppers, pickles, a little shredded cheese, and the sweet onion chicken terriyaki with the sweet onion sauce. Chicken heated up, and it gives it a whole new outlook! If I bring it home to eat, I add shredded carrots to it, but I don't always get to do that.
