I started this in February. In January, I was weighed in a the Dr at 329lbs. I had no idea how to lose weight or even what my calorie intake was. I now weigh 295lbs just a few weeks later. I am still going. If you really pay attention and make some changes, you can do it. Don't look at it as a day, but as a month. If you stay with it and do it, you can lose it too...I promise you. Even 5 lbs is a load off your body. Hold a five pound weight out to your side and feel it. That is that much less weight you have to carry around all day. It really is good. 1 lb is a plus. You can do it.

    Keep up the good work!

I also like to hold a one pound package of butter (which is pure fat) and think about that being gone from my body. Woo hoo!

My mom recently lost 150lbs. So when I complain about only losing a pound she always tells me to think of a pound of hamburger, she heard thats the best thing to compare a pound of fat too. It doesn't seem like much, but when you look at the 5lb or 10lb packages of hamburger and realize how much that is, it makes it awesome to know you've lost all of that!! I agree if you keep going it'll all pay off. Alot of us put on weight over a long period of time, and so its not all going to fall off over night. Thanks for posting this topic!! Its such a good motivator! And way to go wih your weigh loss this far, you've done great!!
